INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL EXCHANGE (ICE) PROGRAMME

 

The International Cultural Exchange Programme enables special skills people with special needs assistants, lifeguards, nurses, post-secondary students, youth workers, and teachers to share their culture and ideas with the people of the United States in camp settings throughout the country in the summer as Camp Counselors.

 

Camp Counselors must be:

  • Sufficiently proficient in the English language to supervise and interact with American youth;

  • A foreign post-secondary student, youth worker, teacher, or individual with specialized skills, experience or passion for working with kids;

  • Available in May/June to August for a minimum of 9 weeks;

  • At least 18-years-old.

 

To participate, each applicant must acquire a J1 Visa which is a non-immigrant visa with multiple travel purposes including cultural exchange, scholars, professors, au pairs, and other exchange programs.

 

The ICE program allows applicants to experience a lifetime by traveling to a new country, meeting new people, and sharing their culture while earning.

Program fee: $650 USD

Other costs to be absorbed by applicants are:
